A court notice dated Oct.27,1843 appeared on page 3 of the Vermont Phoenix newspaper. The notice was of a complaint brought by a Charlotte Barrett (and Eli Miller, son of Thaddeus Miller, was mentioned as a friend) who is concerned about her financial support when the estate of the late Thaddeus Miller is distributed.
