Marriages of Richard Yarborough to two Sarahs both on the same day in different places: (1) Sarah Watkins on Jan.24, 1775 in Surry county Virginia, (2) Sarah Withers [Weathers?] on Jan.24, 1775 in Amelia county Virginia. Both counties existed decades before 1775 and are at least 30 miles apart at their closest borders. One explanation is there were two contemporary sets of Richard Yarboroughs and Sarahs in east central Virginia. See Elizabeth Yarborough at familySearch.org/tree/person/about/KGB3-7G3, her parents are Richard (1759-1819) and Sarah Watkins (1747-1815) and Elizabeth married Anderson Pannell (1768-1855). This Richard may be the one who received the Illinois land grant in Jan.1819, shortly before he died. And none of these -- Richard, Sarah, Elizabeth -- are the ancestors here. [D__0358]
