Springfield, Greene county, Missouri city directory of 1889. It lists two Deatons, one being Robert Deaton living at 2050 [N.] Boonville [Ave.] (in north central part of Springfield) and the other being Della Deaton, a domestic at 1831 Benton Ave. Of Robert, it says 'lab. Perkins W. W. Mfg. Co.' which presumably means RObert worked in the lab, maybe as a technician or tester. [D__0158]
