- Richard Scott born 1607, died after 1680, came England to New England, 1637 was one of 13 signers of the first written compact of Providence Plantations, married Catherine Marbury she born 1617 died 1687. Richard bapt.ca1605 Glemsford (Suffolk) England came 1634 on "Griffin" to Boston, later Ipswich, then 1637 to Providence where he died by 07-16-1680, shoemaker, deputy, Quaker.
