The issue with how Geni.com lists the ancestors of Nathan Fiske is the ages of his parents when Nathan was born. It has Nathan's father Geoffrey as age 34 when his first (Samuel) of 11 kids was born. Nathan was the tenth child. Thus, Geoffrey was age 50 when his last child was born. His wife was anywhere from 3 to 10 years younger than Geoffrey.
Other sources list the ancestors of Nathan withsimilarities and differences:
geneanet.org lists [https://gw.geneanet. org/rwmoore?lang=en&pz=reagan+wentworth&nz=moore&p=geoffrey&n=fiske] Nathan (1595-1676) as son of Geoffrey (1552-1629) and Mary Cooke, Geoffrey son of Robert (1521-1602) and Sybil Gould. This aligns with Geni.com except for the birth year of Nathan.
Wikitree.com lists a different set of ancestors than Geni.com [https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fiske-253]. It has Nathan (1614-1676) son of Nathaniel (1602-1676, age 12 when son born and died on the same day as son) and Dorothy Symonds, Nathaniel son of Nathaniel (1574-1642) and Alice Henel, Nathaniel son of William (1560-1623, brother of Geoffrey that Geni.com has as the father of Nathan) and Anna Anstye, William son of Robert (1566-1623) and Sybil Gould. From that point, the ancestors match Geni.com.
FindAGrave.com [https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/41288789/nathan-fiske] lists that ancestors of Nathan similarly to WikiTree.com: Nathan (1615-1676) son of Nathaniel (1594-____) and Dorothy Symonds, Nathaniel son of Nathaniel (1574-___, died at sea between 1640-1650) and Abria Hovel, Nathaniel son of William (1550-1623) and Anna Antstye, William son of Robert (1521-1600) and Sybil Gould. From that point, the ancestry agrees with Geni.com and WikiTree.
Because of Nathaniel's age when the children in Watertown were born, there is some speculation that Nathan and his sister Martha were grandchildren of Geoffrey and Mary Fiske, based on the Candler manuscript saying that Nathaniel's children went to New England, not specifically Nathan. However, this supposition is contradicted by several facts (Martha and her husband are both explicitly named as daughter and son-in-law in her father's 1629 will), and Martha's age at death of 82 in 1684 agrees with the baptism in 1602 of Geoffrey's daughter Martha. And since Martha lived with Nathan, and testified he was her brother when she testified that he "was very crazy in his memory", that would make Nathan also a child of Geoffrey's and rule out any intermediate generation.
Rootsweb.org states his death year as 1676. However, his will in Watertown is decades later.
What is more likely is that the estimate of Nathan's birth is off. Sources list it anywhere from 1595 to 1615. The only evidence for Nathan's birth is that he is listed in the Candler manuscript after Samuel (the eldest son, born circa 1586) and before David, and all that can be said with certainty about David is that he was old enough to be co-executor of his father's will in1629, so born by 1608, though his birth is usually estimated earlier, around 1601.
