TO FIND: Actual parents, Birth Place, Marriage Place, Death Date and Place

If his parents are not Joseph and Mary, then the following branches would be pruned from the family tree: WHITMORE(4), WARNER(6+1), HARRIS(4+2), PARKE(2+1), MASON-2(1), WARD-1(2+1), GRANT(2+1), HUMPHREY(2), HOLLAND(1), and PURCHAS(2+1). (note: the numbers in the parenthesis after each surname represents the number of ancestors with that surnames involved plus the number of ancestral wives without maiden names). Per his FindAGrave.com page, someone(s) did much reserach and learned that the parents of Captain Francis Whitmore are actually William Whitmore and Rebecca Bassett, both of their lines going back to the immigrants on most every branch. So the loss of the above families will easily be replaced with the new, and apparently more correct, families.
