Research

In William R. Cutter's book "Genealogy and Family History of Western New York" on pages 468-469 he talks about the Douglass line. In it he talks about George Douglass, born 1662, the 15th Earl of Morton. George was married to Frances Adderly of Halstow (Kent) England, the daughter of William. George and Frances had three sons: James, Robert and William. William was born in 1732 and was sent in 1738 by his older brothers, after the death of their father, to the Netherlands and then on to Rhode Island. This William later moved to Seekouk in Massachusetts and still later to New Milford in Connecticut. He was married in 1743 to Mary Warner (1743-1819), daughter of Joseph Warner of Boston. William and Mary later moved to Shoreham (Addison) Vermont where William died in 1807. Mary later married David Cutting. Now, if you substitute the name of "William Douglass" with "Domini Douglass" in this story, it is a mirror image of our Domini's life.
